Spooked in the Hollers
Deep in the mountains of Appalachia, brave mice venture forth down into the hollows, where the water stands dark, the trees and reeds grow tall, and danger lurks in the rising fog.
We ain’t there yet, but we’re pushin’on, crafting a world full of misty ridges, perilous creekside burrows, dark wet caves… stories born straight outta the hills, and carried on to us by grandpa’s ol’ guitar.
Some things we’ve been working on:
1. Tables for local Appalachian fauna and flora, some of which have interesting uses, both narratively and mechanically.
2. A full on dungeoneering adventure in Meemaw Fiddlefern collapsed root cellar,
3. a ton of interesting hex locations where you might find a den of the Long Tongues, or the cenobium of the bat cult, or Granny Deertongue, or maybe even Jenny Greenteeth, if you ain’t lucky.
and more. At this point its about keeping our ambitions in check, and finding a better illustrator than me 🙂
